-
SOLAR THERMAL PANELS
Solar thermal hot water panels located on the roofs of 47 homes will provide renewable energy.
-
ROOF INSULATION
The roof insulation installed in all the homes will provide a U value of 0.11/0.12W/m2K, exceeding the stringent target set by current existing Building Regulations.
-
HEAT RECOVERY
The homes' Mechanical Heat Recovery Unit will pre-warm fresh air with air extracted from wet rooms.
-
HOT WATER SEALED CYLINDER
The dual coil hot water sealed cylinders in 47 homes will collect and store hot water from the development's solar thermal panels for use throughout the day.
-
DRAINAGE
Rainwater from roofed areas will travel via downpipes to water butts located outside each house with any overflow transferring to the development? swales, reed and willow beds. This will ensure a controlled flow of water into existing off site drainage systems.
-
MODERN METHODS OF CONSTRUCTION
The Structural Insulated Panel System created off site in controlled factory conditions will reduce air leakage from the Buildings Regulation target of 10m3/m2/HR to 4m3/m2/HR and provide the homes with improved thermal efficiency.
-
FLOORING
The floor insulation to each floor will be 100mm deep and provide a U value of 0.15W/m2K, exceeding the stringent target set by current existing Building Regulations.
