Street goes back to Roman times, but started to expand with the establishment of the Clarks shoe factory in 1825. In fact, ICON regenerates land once used as a Clarks depot.
Shoes are no longer made in Street, but Clarks Village is the Company's legacy; around ninety shops where you can stock up on leading fashion, homewares, jewellery, books, music, toys and more. It attracts keen shoppers from all over the region and is within a short walk from ICON.
